Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation Plans To Put Up Fence Around Open Plots

As the population of Nasik is increasing, an encroachment is also increasing everywhere. Everyone is trying to avoid encroachment on open plots as it is consider as a big headache.

The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) has now decided to put up fence on its open plots in Ambad and Satpur Industrial areas to keep away from encroachments.
A proposal for the same issue has been sent by the regional office its head office in Mumbai. Excutive engineer of MIDC, Nasik region, Shivaji Tupe said that they have now sent a proposal to MIDC's head office for put up fence around their open plots in industrial areas. They will carry out the fencing project once they get an approval.

Nashik Industries and Manufacturers Association (NIMA) and Ambad Industries and Manufacturers Association (AIMA) raised the issue before the district colloctor Vilas Patil on putting fence around the open plots at the meeting of Zilla Udyog Mitra (ZUM) held last month.

Suresh Mali, President of AIMA had said that MIDC reserves 5% of the total plots for plantation. There are around 25 open plots of MIDC in industrial areas of both Ambad and Satpur. Tupe said that around Rs 70-80 lakh is essential for the fencing works.

AIMA President Mali said that they are also scheduling to plant approximately 40,000 saplings in Ambad, Satpur and Sinnar MIDC in the district by the end of the current financial year. They have already given letters to Vilas Patil, NMC commissioner Sanjay Khandare and the joint director (Industry) P Daberao in this issue and have insisted on to make available saplings for plantation at the earliest.
