On the occasion of International Eye Donation Day, 225 people from Nashik have donated their eyes. Upon their death, their eyes will be transferred to the blind people.
On International Eye Donation Day, an inspirational program in Nashik was organized by a joint venture of Human Rights and Rising Welfare Association. It was held at Tulsi Eye Hospital of Nashik. Dr Patil presented his speech about the need of eye donation for blind. He explained how the world does not exist for the people who are blind and the importance of eyes for living a life. During this program 225 people have enrolled themselves for the eye donation. During this program, the foundation has distributed gifts for children from Anand Orphanage Nashik. Free eye checking campaign was also organized during this program and free spectacles were distributed. Not only the eye donation, but the members have explained people the importance of blood donation.
