Mahindra & Mahindra’s Nashik plant caught fire on 9th May, 2012, in the morning. This incident initiated at the storage areas of Scorpio department.
The operations at M&M Nashik hampered. First shift and general shift was suspended for one day due to safety measures. The incident took place early in the morning at 5:30 am and it took six hours for the firefighters to eradicate the fire completely.
WNS employees from Nashik center have gone on long strike for 2nd time as the company failed to provide them better salary.
According to our sources, WNS promised increase in salary for few employees after the end of fiscal year FY2011-12, but since the company failed in their commitment, five amongst them, raised this issue to local politicians and went on strike to protest. To support this injustice, 500 other WNS employees went on strike too.
