It was a last episode of the Nasik’s biggest ever art exhibition titled ‘ArtFest 2012’ and internationally awarded artist Anil Abhange done the magic with his brushes and colors. He drew a life-like portrait of Chanchal Jain of RK Enterprises and won the hearts of art lovers who witnessed the live painting demo during closing ceremony of ArtFest.
With an intention to promote fine art in the holy city, few artists joined hands to organize a week long art festival in Nasik, few businesses also loved the concept and came ahead to support the cause. They started planning the event weeks before and finally the ArtFest 2012 began yesterday, on 14th February, 2012.
Nasik is well-known for its rich cultural heritage and tradition, which is served as a source of great inspiration for Nasikites. At the microcosmic level, Nasik has contributed to the nation's glory by creating men and women of repute in every field.
Every year during Navratri, the people of Nasik celebrate the Kalika fair around the temple of Goddess, located close to the old Agra road. The temple possesses idols of three goddesses Sarswati, Laxmi and Kalika.
Since 1998, the Krishi Agriculture Technology Fair and Conference is being structured in Nasik. It has evolved as a balanced relationship amongst the farmers as well as the technology savvy intellectuals.
