Since 1998, the Krishi Agriculture Technology Fair and Conference is being structured in Nasik. It has evolved as a balanced relationship amongst the farmers as well as the technology savvy intellectuals. For making KRISHI a world class show in the Agriculture industry of India, is its constant endeavor. In 2011, it planned a lineup for not the latest agriculture products and technology but also for the business opportunities and quality learning. Krishi is a fair of various exhibitors as well as professionals from all over the world, sharing their experiences along with new innovations and their solutions.
The Krishi fair held in Nasik is combination of networking activities and knowledge sharing which displays the dynamic realities of Agriculture Sector in India. Till date, major of the economy of India relies on agriculture. So the Indian government provides some of the basic necessities, infrastructure and education related to farming to the farmers. The agriculture sector of Nasik even uses the latest technologies for exploring irrigation. The Agri-exports from India are being accepted globally and also has immense potentials. In the sector of Agriculture, India is already amongst the global leaders in it. India produces the world’s largest number of fruits, cashew nuts, milk, tea, coconut and pulses as well as its second largest for producing wheat and rice in the world and also in grains, it at the fourth position.
The people who visit the fair are mostly farmers, Traders, Entrepreneurs, Importers, Manufacturers Exporters, Government Officials and Researchers. The exhibitors are from various agricultural fields such as Farm Technology and Implements, Seed Technology, Horticulture, Planting Material & Propagation, IT in agriculture, Post Harvest Technology and Food Processing. It also includes Government Agencies, Water Management Technologies, Live Stock and Dairy, Education in agriculture, Rural Development and State Marketing Boards.
