HPT College to Host ‘Smaranrang’

HPT College to Host ‘Smaranrang’

Nasik’s soil still has a smell of Dnyanpeeth which was brought by the legend poet, author and above all a Nashikite, Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar alias Kusumagraj. Being an important part of his life, HPT Arts and RYK Science College has organized an innovative event ‘Smaranrang’ in the golden memories of Kusumagraj (Tatyasaheb).

As everyone knows that Tatyasaheb had a distinguishing relation with HPT College, from where he obtained bachelor degrees in Marathi and English. His literary expedition was also started from the same place. This is 100th birth anniversary year of Tatyasaheb and the event is being organized to look up to his precious contribution to Marathi literature.

The event is scheduled on Saturday, February 18th, 2012 at HPT College ground and it is supposed to start at 3 pm. The agenda has on it many entertaining things including, presentation of poetry, play, music, and dance too. Maharashtra’s renowned poet Saumitra and Kishor Kadam are going to take part into this event. Sadanand Joshi, Dipak Karanjikar, Amey Joshi, Sachin Shinde, Vidya Karanjikar, Hema Joshi and even college students are going to partake in this event. Principal of HPT College, Prof. V N Suryavanshi has appealed people to be present there.
