Pranav Joshi Won Special Excellence Award

Pranav Joshi of Dipak Mandal has won special excellence award in Sanskrit Rajyanatya Spardha (competition) organized by state government of Maharashtra. The competition was held at Nagpur and Dipak Mandal performed a play named ‘Anathanaam Nath’. This award is given to Pranav for his outstanding Sanskrit pronunciations and performance.

The original script called ‘Anathancha Nath’ was written in Marathi by Vijaykumar Kumavat and it later translated in Sanskrit by Rupali Zhodgekar. The act follows the story of a parentless child who is always annoyed by villagers. He fortunately gets support from his teacher and rank first in school exams. Then the story has makeover wherein villagers start noticing and liking that boy.

Pavak Gaidhani, Snehal Kulkarni, Nupur Savji and Pranav Joshi were casted for lead roles. Pranav played the role of ‘Sarpanch (head of a village level statutory institution)’ and won the award for excellent articulations. Play was directed by Rupali Zhogdekar and it had music by Kayvalya Joshi. Suresh Gaidhani (president of Dipak Mandal) designed the set while makeup was done by Kiran Kulkarni and drapery was done by Manisha Ekbote. Rukmini Joshi was the producer of this play.
