Completing entire examination procedure in threshold needs to be ensured. That’s the reason Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) adopts different techniques to curtail time required for carrying out multiple procedures before and after examinations. e-Verification or online verification is one more modus operandi that YCMOU has put into practice since January 2012.
When result comes, many students opt for verifying answer papers one more time if they are doubtful about outcomes. Earlier, such students used to apply to the head office of YCMOU, that is in Nasik, personally or by post. But this system needs students to spend more than expected time and money. Many times, posted application didn’t reach to university office by time. If not, it used to take around two-three months to comply with the procedure. University has now realized the problem and started online verification from January.
For online verification, students are supposed to go on official website of YCMOU and have to fill a form containing roll number, exam center and similar details on mark sheet. Verification charges are 100 Rs per subject and students will have to attach receipt with application, photocopy of which is to be submitted into regional office. After confirmation of regional office, the application will be registered online with head office and then papers will be verified collectively at respective regional offices.
Last date of application for e-Verification of recent exam papers is February 10 and verified results will be announced by February 17.
