Chief Minister of Maharashtra State, Prithviraj Chavan will formally inaugurate the 55th All India Police Duty Meet (AIPDM) on February 22, 2012. AIPDM is an eight-day congregate of cops and has already started on Saturday, February 18th, at Maharashtra Police Academy (MPA) that is on Trimbak Road, Nasik.
More than 900 contestants accounting around 28 teams coming from different states of the country are going to participate in this meet. Multiple competitions will be held during these eight long days and that will include Police Dog Squad Competition, Scientific Aid to Investigation, Anti Sabotage Competition, Computer Awareness Competition, Police Photography Competition and Police Videography Competition.
The first segment of this meet has begun on Sunday 19 February, 2012, with two thrilling competitions i.e. Scientific Aid to Investigation and All Dogs Medical. The later one had 98 dogs to participate in and eight out of them were supposedly unfit for contest because of different reasons. Remaining who participated in dog squad competition had to pass through hurdles and find hidden objects.
State Director General of Police (DGP), K Subramanyam will also be present on official inauguration ceremony of AIPDM that will be on Wednesday, February 22, at MPA, Nasik.
